Fantasy, Fame & Deadly Games
4/9/2010

Gaze into our crystal ball… as Theatre Collingwood foretells a summer of FANTASY, FAME & DEADLY GAMES in the 2010 season of live professional theatre.

Fantasy or reality? Is there really such a thing as a perfect match? In Norm Foster’s hilarious adult comedy THE LOVE LIST (July 12-17, 2010), Leon’s 50th birthday gift to his buddy Bill is an appointment with a gypsy dating service which requires a list of the top ten attributes of his ideal woman. When she actually appears, the men quickly learn that the list could use a few revisions. Advisory: Adult situations and coarse language.

Canada’s music theatre sensation LEISA WAY stars in SWEET DREAMS: A TRIBUTE TO PATSY CLINE featuring THE WAYWARD WIND (August 16-21, 2010). This concert celebration of the memory and musical soul of the famous legendary country music icon Patsy Cline is an entertainment filled with anecdotes and insights. You’ll hear 30 of her greatest hits including Crazy, Bill Bailey, Walkin’ After Midnight, I Fall to Pieces, Just a Closer Walk With Thee – and more!

The season concludes with the suspense-thriller SLEUTH by Anthony Shaffer (September 13-18, 2010). An eccentric mystery novelist invites his wife’s lover to match wits in a breathtaking cat-and-mouse game of intrigue and excitement. Is it obsessive game playing or dangerous reality…and who is the victim in this deadly chain of events that leaves bodies on the carpet, blood on the stairs and detectives at the door?
