The Thousand Islands Playhouse, Eastern Ontario’s Favourite Theatre Destination, is thrilled to announce a lineup of great entertainment for 2010, building on the tremendous excitement of last year. 2009 was a huge season for the Playhouse, with bigger audiences, artists with international reputations and productions which displayed thought provoking new styles of theatre. The diverse programming was lauded in the press, amongst industry members, and within our own audience as exciting and progressive.
In 2010, we are celebrating the Bright Bold Stories that have been the cornerstone of our operations and of both the heritage buildings that house our theatres. Fittingly, the Springer Theatre productions each, in their own way, provide a fun-filled and affectionate nod to our collective past. The Firehall Theatre continues its impressive mission to bring provocative and scintillating productions to the region, with a trio of unique and powerful plays.
